Ruins of a Man
Remnants of dreams I've had
Watching as I crumble away
Tortured by tomorrow
Left burning for today
A haunted face
Breaking apart in the light
Eyes shut and buried deep
He lays alone at night.
A town came falling apart
A mental imagining fantasy
Grouping together for nothing
When the world was just a fallacy
A man stands alone
No family or friends
Turning a withered old man
Restitching the broken amends
Chained down
Shackled and beaten
Broken frightful
And even left bleeding
This is a shout for the heavens
When hell seems rather true
Hands held wide and head hung low
There was nothing left of me for you

Basketball Changed My Life
So we get to the locker room and the first
thing the lady in the small T-Shirt and big baggy basketball shorts said out
loud.” If your grade point average is less than a 1.5 then you gots to go and
get back on the bus before it leaves. If it’s between 1.75 and 2.75, then get
in that corner, and don’t say a word…” I was in that group, and we all began to
talk!
“… What did I say? “SHUT UP”! Like I
was saying before I was rudely interrupted if your GPA is between a 3.0 – 4.0
then y’all head out to the court with the other Coach, and she's going to write
your name and your grade down, and separate y’all by teams.” No one dared to
move. “GET IN THE GYM I SAID”, damn are y’all death or something? “GET IN THE
GYM””
No matter what I want in life I
have to work hard for it, nothing is just going to be handed to me on a silver
platter. I try to work hard in everything I do in life, and I work the hardest when
I’m at upward bound and when I’m playing basketball. I put effort into upward
bound to further my education, meet new people and to help me get a job. I also
put effort into basketball when I`m practicing, working out, shooting around,
playing against my friends or my brother, and when it`s game time. Hard work
gives me that extra push that helps me further my education and be a successful
basketball player.

Another standard that ties these
ideals into sports is never quitting, or telling myself that I can’t do
something. Throughout life I have been told many things that I wouldn’t be able
to accomplish, but that has never stopped me. This attitude and work ethic has
produced so of my biggest role models; such as: LeBron James Kevin Durant, Michael
Jordan, and Kobe Bryant. One of the most
inspiring quotes I have ever heard came from Michael Jordan in an interview. He
was asked by a reported if he could fly, Jordan then replied “yeah for a little
bit.” The biggest thing I took from this was, no matter what it is they say you
can’t do it’s up to you to prove a doubter wrong. So to reiterate myself never
allow anyone to stop you from doing you because someone doesn’t believe you can
do it, because it only takes you to believe in you.
CyberBulling
Brittany Yanders
Cyberbullying is the use of the Internet, cell phones, or other electronic communication devices to spread harmful or embarrassing information about another person. The term cyberbullying refers to the behavior when it is targeted at minor.
It can also include sending threats, making sexual remarks, using offensive language or labels, or posting humiliating photos or videos, as well as spreading rumors or lies about the victim.
Cyberbullies sometimes set up a website to make fun of a victim or forward private e-mails from the victim without permission. Cyberbullies can also get others to join in the behavior; they can urge chat room members, for example, to gang up on someone else by making fun of them or refusing to let them participate in discussions.

pressure
when i think about someone who has set out to reach there goals i think about Lebron James. he didn't let any one or the things people said effect him. he has his mind set out to get a championship and know he is one game away from achieving his goal. he gives me hope to keep pushing and reach my goal.

"I hear that word pressure
all the time. There is a lot of pressure put on me, but I don’t put a
lot of pressure on myself. I feel if I play my game, it will take care
of itself."
